David Shorenstein
David brings over fifteen years of real estate experience to his position at HREA. Previously David co-founded Silvershore Properties in 2010 and successfully assembled and exited a New York City real estate portfolio with a value in excess of $300 million in over 250 properties. Silvershore’s portfolio consisted of properties throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, with a focus on acquiring and improving multi-family, industrial, retail and mixed-use properties.
David has expertise in purchasing, operating and representation of buyers and sellers of multi-family, mixed-use and office properties, retail, development parcels and conversion sites.
Prior to joining Silvershore Properties, David was the Chief Investment Officer of Forrest Shorenstein Capital Partners, a real estate investment company that purchased six properties in the Lower East Side with a value of over $25 million.
Prior to Forrest Shorenstein Capital Partners, David was a Senior Associate at Marcus & Millichap where his sales exceeded $250 million. In 2007, he was recognized as a “Real Estate Weekly Rising Star.” In 2006, he achieved a sales volume of $152 million and received the Marcus & Millichap “Sales Recognition Award for the Largest Gross Fee.”
David was also awarded the Citi Habitats “Commercial Broker of the Year Award in 2004” and featured in “Real Estate Rising Stars under 35” in The Real Deal’s March 2014 issue.
David is a graduate of The Leonard N. Stern School of Business of New York University where he earned a BS degree in finance.
